As in the past, many gathered to assist with a terrific cause in honor of a terrific man. The generosity of so many came through again - despite the rain! With everyone's help and generosity - we broke all of our fundraising records! With over $28,000 raised, we will be able to assist so many more families in the upcoming year. Everything we do is volunteer - and everyone's gifts go directly to others, and that day brought forth such love and kindness that it was a special and memorable day. Our Inspiration -
Bob “Bucky” Buckmeier was a loving husband, the father of 3 sons, and the grandfather of 7. He was an avid race fan, a loyal friend, and an unforgettable co-worker. The Bob Buckmeier Foundation was created after Bob passed away from brain cancer in 2004 and provides resources and financial assistance to families experiencing loved ones undergoing cancer treatment. To date, the Foundation has assisted over 20 families and partnered with other charitable organizations to support related cancer initiatives.
